National Museum of Contemporary History
The National Museum of Contemporary History is a state museum dedicated to the heritage of recent Slovenian history, from the beginning of the 20th century to the present day. Technical Museum of Slovenia
The Technical Museum of Slovenia is located at the 6000-square metre estate of Bistra Castle, formerly a monastery, with a beautiful garden, a fish pond, and a forest nature trail. Apart from numerous collections on agriculture, textile engineering, transport, forestry, wood processing, electrical engineering, hunting, fishing and printing, it houses a collection of limousines owned by the late president of the Socialist Federative Republic of Yugoslavia, Josip Broz Tito (1892-1980).

National Gallery
The National Gallery holds two permanent exhibitions: Art in Slovenia, which brings together sculptures and paintings created by gothic, baroque, classical, romantic, realist and impressionist artists from the 13th century to the first quarter of the 20th century, and European Paintings, an exhibition of more than one hundred works by renowned and lesser known painters.

International Centre of Graphic Arts
The International Centre of Graphic Arts is a museum housing a collection of prints from the 20th century to the present day, a gallery hosting exhibitions of work by contemporary artists from Slovenia and abroad, a print publisher with its own printmaking workshop, and the organiser of the Ljubljana International Biennial of Graphic Arts, held every odd year.

The City Art Museum runs its own and hosts travelling exhibitions of work by Slovenian and international artists of various fine art disciplines. Its exhibition programme is not limited to the European cultural area, but reaches out into the global cultural space.

Jakopič Gallery (Museums and Galleries of the City of Ljubljana)
The Jakopič Gallery is dedicated to showing exhibitions of fine art and design works by contemporary Slovenian and international artists. Visitors to the gallery can also view the remains of the original Roman Forum, the rectangular central square of the Roman city of Emona, whose site is now partly occupied by the Gallery.

Volčji Potok Arboretum
The Volčji Potok Arboretum, situated on the edge of the Kamniško polje plain, is Slovenia's most visited botanical garden, well worth visiting at any time of the year. Extending over an area of 80 hectares, it provides home to 4,500 plant species from all parts of the world, including perennial flowers, bushes and trees.

Ljubljana Botanic Garden
The Ljubljana Botanic Garden, established in 1810, is Slovenia's oldest running cultural, scientific and educational institution. It contains more than 4,500 different plant species and subspecies, one third of them being endemic to Slovenia and the rest originating from various parts of Europe and other continents.
